I believe a mother’s nurturing love for their children can help the child begin to know that God also loves them. A mother’s nurturing love for a child brings peace and comfort for the child. We can see this with wild animals. I watched a program on Discovery Chanel about animals, time and time again is showed the sadness, distress, and worry of a baby animal who became lost from their mother and continued to cry only to stop when the animal was back being nurtured by its mother, it was only then that the animal could find peace and comfort.
My children, when they get hurt all 5 of them, including my teenager goes to their mom. Even when mom is not home, and I have taken care of the problem they are sure to go to her the minute she walks in the door and tell her about there owie, just so they can get the nurturing from mom.
When I was growing up, I had a very difficult time in school, I was falling behind, and my self esteem was low. I hated going to school. The only reason why I made it through those years is because the nurturing of mom. Mom would spend countless hours with me at the dinner table, working with me and helping me get through those days. But that’s not the only thing she did, She set new rules in the house. None of the kids could say the words like stupid, loser, or dumb. I knew that mom loved me; she nurtured me then and continues to this day. She always tells us what our potential is as a child of God, and that no matter what God will always love us.
Well, as for my family school if coming to an end in 3 weeks. All the kids are ready for the break. Brynn will be starting Kindergarten next year, and it’s all she can talk about right now. You would think it was starting next week to hear her talk about it.
Other than that all of us are doing great, I’m looking forward to next weekend as Steve and family, mom and dad should be in the area. It will be good to see them, the kids are looking forward to spending some time playing card games and seeing who can be champ. I’m sure all involved will not lower their standards and cheat (mom).
That’s all for now, can’t wait to hear from everyone else.
